Mid-Coast Solid Waste Corporation in Rockport, ME is seeking candidates for Gatehouse Operator. The facility operates Tuesday through Saturday, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

The Gate House Operator Position is responsible for controlling traffic into the Solid Waste Transfer Station. The gatehouse operator inspects incoming waste loads, to ensure only acceptable waste enters the facility, and proper fees are collected. The Operator directs customers to proper material areas; records financial transactions; weighs commercial vehicles and provides sales receipts using computer equipment. Most important the gatehouse operator shall have the ability to properly and politely explain and enforce facility regulations and the ability to follow safety protocols. Willing to train the right candidate.

Candidate must have a high school or GED diploma, be able to lift 40 lbs., and a valid Maine Driver’s License. MCSWC offers competitive wages and is an equal-opportunity employer.
